SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
8th Visegrad Symposium on Structural Systems Biology is the continuation of previous successful conferences organized by four Visegrad countries. The aim of the organizers of the symposium is to follow the tradition of previously organized meetings in the field of computational simulations and spectroscopy of biologically relevant systems.

There will be 30 min invited lectures covering recent advances in the topics of the Symposium. Other contributions will be presented in one poster session. This poster session provides the main forum for the presentation of new work and for the discussion of recent progress. A few of the contributions will be selected for oral presentation (20 min lectures).

CONFERENCE DATES AND LOCATION:
The 8th Visegrad Symposium on Structural Systems Biology will be held in the Congress Center Miraj Resort in Lučenec, which is cultural and economic centre of Novohrad and natural geographical centre of the southern part of central Slovakia. It lies in the western part of the Lučenec Valley. Lučenec has a continental climate with four alternating seasons. Congress Center Miraj Resort is situated at the north part of Lučenec (district Opatová) which is a modern center for organizing of symposia and conferences.
Lučenec can be reached also by public transportation (for detailed information see conference homepage).

8th Visegrad Symposium will start on the afternoon of June 20 (Wednesday) with registration, first session, dinner and will end on the morning of June 23, 2013 (Saturday) with breakfast. The size of these pages should be A4 (210×297 mm or 8.5×11″) and a margin of 25 mm should be left clear on all four sides of these pages. These abstracts may be submitted only by e-mail (as attachment) using a Microsoft Word document (DOC), OpenOffice/LibreOffice (ODT) or Rich Text Format (RTF). Please underline the name of the poster presenter.

7 October 2017: “Coarse graining of biomolecules and beyond: theory and applications”, Warsaw

30 May 2017

The main purpose of the workshop is to share the experience in coarsegraining among the growing coarse-graining community in Poland and, possibly, other European countries. Therefore, the main format of the workshop will be short presentations of the software developed in participants’ laboratories illustrated with examples of its application to biological problems. The workshop will include also several longer, hands-on sessions giving the opportunity to test software on participants’ own laptops, as well as ample time for informal discussions.
